Great Academics Versus Hands on Pastoral Training

When choosing the right seminary, the first decision that comes to my mind is the dilema over great academics vs. hands on training. Is it better to attand a great name divinity school that might not be fully in line with my believes, but will open other options in academia, or should I go to a less known seminary, that will give me great training for my pastoral career, but might not be good for anything else.

I suppose the answer is in what I pan to to do with it. If you want to have your options open, with other career paths, getting a great name school degree will help you get into other career paths. This is especially tempting for those who are young and don't fully know what the life might bring to them. On the other hand for those who already have other careers, hands on traing for a specific pastoral role is the only objective.
